I (Ruth) have the qualifications and experience to help you get to your next level in your creative journey.  

 

In addition to teaching art in public and private schools; I also ran my own art school for 8 years.  The art school was very popular with 160+ students attending weekly classes.  The students ranged in age from 5 to 75, with all levels of abilities.  The range in ages and interests meant that I was teaching across an extensive variety of mediums and subject matter.

Underpinning my success as an arts teacher, was my belief that everyone can create beautiful artworks; some people can do this intuitively whilst others (people like me), may require specific instruction on how to.  I love witnessing in my students that moment when they realise, that yes, they can draw/paint the thing they love.

I continue to develop new ways of working with different mediums, living in Tasmania surrounded by the most incredible natural world, I have a huge range of subject matter that inspires me.
